Web Weaving Safety is very important. It is unwise to blindly meet someone alone first time you meet them off the computer. Below are some tips to help keep you safe:
Do not meet someone
who you know to be of a questionable nature.
Get to know the
person through E-Mail first for a couple weeks before even thinking of
meeting them.
Talk to the person
for about a week on the phone before you even consider meeting them.
If you meet someone,
make sure the first couple of times it is in a public area in the daylight
with lots of people around.
If at all possible,
bring a friend. Tell another friend or family member where you are
going.
Do not plan the
first meeting to be very long, maybe an hour, but if at all possible do
not make it longer.
Above all, use
COMMON SENSE.
If you can think of any other tips that would be beneficial
to someone new and inexperienced, feel free to E-Mail
suggestions to the webmaster by clicking on the envelope.
